My children bought me a starter package lighting set for Christmas, which consisted of two light stands and folding umbrellas.
This keeps everything safe and neatly put away and ready to use in a moments notice.
This bag is strong and durable and I'm not even worried that the light bulbs are going to break.
If you only have a few pieces of lighting equipment, this is for you.

The bag carries 2 Manfrotto 5001B 74-Inch Nano Stand Replaces Manfrotto 001B (Black) assembled with the following Professional Mini Ball Head Camera Mount then a Stroboframe Bracket Shoe Mount and a Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras on top and the flash head set a 90� and finally a Gary Fong LSUCLOUD Lightsphere Universal Cloud on top. This set up is apx 28.5 ". These are placed side by with the Fong Domes facing upward toward the top zipper. This leaves just enough room for 2 Canon 430EX Speedlite Flash for Canon EOS SLR Cameras - Older Version and the canon floor flash stands and a Stofen OM-EW Omni Bounce For Canon 430EX White with the remaining space at the top of the bag, which by the way has a 270� zipper so you can access your goods from the top. I used the spacers with velcro to create the area were these flash heads are stored. I was pleased to find that there were internal zippers that line the inside of the bag as storage compartments for objects that aren't to bulky, I placed a 2 Opteka SB-5 Medium Universal Studio Soft Box Flash Diffuser for External Flash Units (8" X 6" Screen) 2 Fotodiox 6"x8" Softbox for Nikon Flash, Canon Speedlight, for Nikon SB-600, SB-800, SB-900 Flash, Canon Speedlite 380EX, 430EX, 430EX II, 550EX, 580EX, 580EX II, Vivita Flash, Sunpack, Nissin,Sigma, Sony, Pentax, Olympus, Panasonica Lumix Flashes and a Manfrotto 237HD Heavy-Duty Flex Arm for Super Clamp (Black) with some batteries on one of the sides. Still plenty of storage left in that side and the other not used yet. This item just arrived November 30th after ordering it on November 20th from BarnDoor Lighting Outfitters who charged $22.88 for shipping..ouch...... I'm happy with the bag but as mentioned in the title a few modifications would earn it 5 stars with ease. !st, make the velcro that is sewn on the inner side panels go the full length of the bag. 2nd, some longer spacing pads with the velcro to create more layers or spacing of items in the bag. All in all this bag has significantly reduced my time to carry in and set up. I shoot many locations each day so portability is king in my book. This bag is very portable, light, moderately strong and easy to carry with all of the equipment I mentioned, 2 light stands with multiple accessories and 4 flash heads. Provided that you don't toss the bag around or place heavy objects on it everything is kept safe inside. I would definitely recommend it to someone that wants a soft bag that looks good and needs to carry photo goods like the ones I have described. I probably will ad 2 more light stands and it will still have room to spare.

This travel alarm does all I would expect of it as described by other reviewers. However, I noted when I bought the clock that one of the reviews mentioned an "excellent blue electroluminescent display". To me, that indicated that the clock had a "backlit" (or "back light") screen display. No so! This clock (currently, on 1/30/11) has a display that is lit by a white LED bulb from the right margin of the screen. What's the difference? A backlit screen is evenly lit over the entire display and results in the digital clock numbers having a high/increased contrast to the display background. A clock (such as this one) with a white LED side light display causes the digital clock numbers to fade (have a very low contrast) with respect to the display background. That doesn't make any difference during the daylight hours, but at night (in the dark); the display appears very faded when trying to check the time. I am far sighted, and the time display is impossible for me to read at night in a dark room using only the white led light that shines from right to left across the display. I could possibly read it with a flashlight, or by locating my glasses and putting them on to check the time, but that is usually not what one want to be doing when trying to fall back to sleep at (e.g.) 3:00 AM. Too bad the LA CROSSE Company did not make these clocks with a backlit display. The technology to do this has been around for many years. My last travel alarm was purchased from Radio Shack many years ago and (with its backlit display) I never had a problem checking the time at night. Because of the faded night time display on this clock, I would not recommend it to others. This is especially true if, like me, you are far sighted and have to wear glasses for "near" viewing. Note, this item was purchased from "Bears Discount Den, LLC" via Amazon.com.

I bought this primarily for my SUV. The factory-installed stereo came with a clock that was easy to read day or night, but the replacement stereo had a clock that's impossible to read when the sun is out. This clock has an LCD display, so the sunnier it gets, the easier it is to read. And when I'm travelling, I can just grab it and take it into the hotel with me at night.

The clock sets automatically, just as advertised. This sits inside my SUV, which is parked inside a garage with a bonus room above, and it receives the "atomic signal" with no problems. The description is a little misleading when it comes to time zones. You do have to manually change the time zone as you travel; this unit doesn't have a built-in GPS and doesn't know what time zone it is located in. This is easily done and not a drawback. I like it a lot, and recommend it.

I did notice a difference in the quality but it's definitely not true 100% HD. I have a 1080p HDTV and while the conversion from component to HDMI does look noticeably better, it's not authentic HD.
I think this is a great product though and this is pretty much as close as you're going to get for the money. It still looks HD but like I said, it's not 100% there.

I bought this product to connect my Apple TV2 to a TV that does not have an HDMI input. I should have saw another review that said it did not work.

I do not recommend getting this product. I will be looking for another adaptor to solve this issue.

I really like the Aliph Jawbone Prime. Good sound quality and once I finally got the unit synced to my blackberry, it worked like a charm. The one aspect I don't care for is the 'gels' for your ears. Lots of choices are included with the unit, (6 I believe) but I would prefer not using the loop for over the ear. There are 3 gels that look like a figure 8 which if used are supposed to eliminate the need for using the over the ear loop. They don't work for me. So I have to use one of the two included ear loops to hold it in my ear. Even so I really like this product even with the ear loop. Good sound quality, clear reception and no complaints from people I call. Could make the buttons a little easier to use, but not that difficult to figure out. Overall a very good product.

I ordered the Stratitec ink refill kit.
I also ordered the 6 extra large bottles of black.
The kit works great.
Black ink works great. I save $15 every time I refill and have refilled 15-30 times so far (stopped counting) and still have 3 bottles left.

The color ink is not as bright as the original Canon photo ink (used in a Canon Pixma MP500 printer). So I mainly refill the black ink with the Stratitec and buy new Canon color.

You'll need to drill a hole in the top of the ink cartridge and then plug it with a little rubber stopper that is included. (drill bit also included).

The Canon printer somehow knows when you refilled (instead of buying new ink from Canon) and their printer no longer tells you when the cartridge is empty. (this feature shuts off) So that's a disadvantage. But I save $15 each refill so it's worth it. (and I save the trip to the store).

The ink refill process can be messy. I use rubber gloves. Not a problem.

This package provides a large quantity of ink at a very reasonable price. Refilling your own cartridges is easy and much much less expensive than buying new ones, and the quality is good (it's a little bit more complicated if you have cartridges with an electronic ink droplet counter, but since the counters can be reset this is not a major hurdle).

The kit is impressive.

It should be noted that the kit "might" not work with aged cartridges. That is, cartridges that have been empty for a while or haven't been used in a while.
I have the kit, but I still have to buy new cartridges before the refill will work. I tried the old cartridge and it failed. I cleaned it and now it leaks horribly, even with a very small amount of ink. I followed the instructions. In the end I had to discard the cartridge.

The instructions for the refill are online and are very detailed.

The kit seems great. Good contents. Seems like good bang for the buck. I look forward to trying it in a newly empty cartridge.

This mouse platform does the job as far as giving you some add-on space for your mouse on a desk that only has a slide-out shelf for the keyboard (but no room for the mouse).
That was my situation.

I like the look of it, it is sturdy, and the mouse pad surface on it is very good.
The swivel is firm and the pad rotates out and stays put (no flopping around).

However...
It is designed to clamp on and the pad then hangs BELOW the level of the shelf by about 3 inches. Some people may like this, but I don't. It would be a lot better if the pad could swing out level with the shelf that it is clamped to. That would prevent it from being rotated under the shelf to be out of the way and allow the drawer to close, I know. However, it should still have this mounting option for people who would give up closing the drawer all the way in exchange for a level mounting height.

The second thing about it. The hand-screw clamp mechanism that attaches it to the drawer just doesn't keep this thing clamped in place. Every time I swing out the mouse pad, the mounting clamp moves around. And I made it REALLY tight.
So I finally just drilled two holes right through the top of the clamp and screwed the thing to the desk's keyboard shelf with two small screws. It works wonderfully now.
If repositioning the clamp every time you swivel out the pad doesn't bother you, you won't need to do this, but I found it very annoying.

As another reviewer mentioned the price fluctuates wildly on these hampers. I got one with the pink liner for close to $20 a while back. The insides are poorly finished. I use the hamper as a diaper pail and I leave the cotton liner in to protect my pail liners from pokes and snags from the sharp edges of pieces inside.

Overall the hamper has done the job. So far it has made it through three cross country moves without breaking. Even with the sharp pieces inside I would purchase this item again provided it was at the same low price.

Like a previous reviewer, my parents got an iPad 2 for Christmas and needed a wireless router. Since the iPad is the only thing they'd be using wirelessly, I didn't want to spend a lot on a wireless router. It took less than 10 minutes from opening the box to having a wireless signal. Much easier to set up than the Linksys router I use at my house. The range was pretty decent as well. Router is set up in back bedroom/office and it had a good signal across the house (about 45-50 feet away and through 4 walls).

Router has only been up and running a couple of days, but there haven't been any signal issues yet. As soon as my Linksys dies I'll be switching to Netgear.

Within a week the wireless connection started dropping at least 3-4 times a day. After trying some basic things like re-flashing the firmware, reconfiguring the router etc, the tech support lady said that it could be hardware problem. Set-up was cumbersome as well. As someone else has also mentioned in his/her review, the set-up CD was a complete waste. It couldn't detect the hardwired internet connection despite of doing it correctly. When I tried it through the browser, the set-up could not be completed on my Windows 7 laptop, I had to use my XP to do it. Then within a week the connection started dropping.

This Rangemax was a replacement of a Netgear g-router which worked well. But within a year and a half, it gave up on me. Wireless speed came down to ~2mbps from around 15mbps.

Have already returned the Rangemax and bought a Cisco Linksys. Working well so far. Atleast the set-up was very easy. May be its my bad, but no more Netgear products from now on.

This is the second Netgear router I've purchased. The first is in my apartment and this one was a Christmas present for my parents, who wanted to be able to use a wireless laptop in their house. We hooked the router up to their cable modem in the basement and it works very well in all parts of their large, ranch-style house. The wireless works no matter which room we're in, upstairs or down. Set-up is exceedingly simple, as it was with the one we purchased for ourselves. Including plugging in cords, restarting the cable modem, and setting up the wireless account - it took less than 10 minutes.

These routers are great for people who are not experts at networking. The instructions are clear, short, and easy to follow.

There are good products designed in the US and made in China, like Freddy the Firefly and Fisher price toys. This one is not of good quality. The painting goes away after a few scratches, which I don't like as babies put everything in mouth. In addition I didn't see in product description that music is included in the toy, and these songs are horrible (bad sound quality). I don't trust Leapfrog products anymore, waste of money.

Although the songs and the pictures are nice, the toy doesn't have on/off button. So if you press the happy frog in the middle of the night - there is no way to stop that cheerful song. Also the flaps are kind of hard to open even for adult. And it is still too bulky for my 5 months old. She would love to chew on it but gets frustrated because is the base is too big and it's difficult to get a good grip on the pages.

The book is really expensive for an international edition. The seller needs to state it clearly on the main advertizing page that it's an intl. edition. The caption it's like new for a price of $95 is very deceptive since the actual intl edition ranges between $55-$70. I bought the book at the advertised price with the thinking that it was the US edition.

Standard textbook outlining most spectroscopic techniques as taught at undergraduate level. However, contains an embarrassingly dated treatment of mass spectrometry which can not have been rewritten since the 1970s. No mention of the biggest MS techniques in use today (electrospray and MALDI), a glaring oversight especially in light of Fenn & Tanaka winning Nobel Prizes in 2002 for just these developments. And time-of-flight instruments having a mass range of 5000 and resolution of 200? Several years before this book was published, commercial machines were available with mass ranges well over 100,000 Da and resolutions of 10,000+. Not only poor, but misleading. Overall, a rather derivative book that seems to have been written largely by consultation of more authoritative work (probably an early edition of Williams & Fleming).

Adequate.

I've owned four of the Sony WM-FX290 series over the years. I use them primarily for audio-books - and I listen to thirty/forty books a year which easily means hundreds of hours of use. I'm mostly satisfied with the model, taking into account price, durability, ease of use, quality of sound, etc. There are significantly more expense cassette players (as well as really inexpensive, rather breakable models)but overall, this model is about as good as I've seen for the price. I'm not particularly thrilled about it mostly because I can remember sturdier models with more features and better design (at the same price) but, alas, they're no longer made.

Good points: Moderately priced, decent sound, great battery life (1 rechargeable lasts 4-6 hours cassette playing), easy-to-program radio

Bad points: Opaque-cover (you can't just look & see how much tape is left without taking tape out), no auto-reverse, battery "holder" easily broken (from a six inch drop)requiring tape to keep battery in place, no "clip" to attach to pants, too sensitive too squeezing (when I jog or walk, I hold the Walkman in my hand or pocket squeezing the player and slooowing the playback). Further, after several months of opening/closing, the tape holder doesn't seem to keep the cassettes in alignment making them again slow down (and making me adjust the tapes to just the right spot).

Despite all this, I'd recommend the player mainly because of the price. While I remember 10 years ago, we could've gotten auto-reverse, translucent views of the cassette, a molded rubber exterior, a convenient/unobtrusive clip, etc. from Sony, but they no longer bother with them at this price. I remember they also had the ability to rewind a tape while listening to the radio: not possible now.

(I've owned 4 over the 6 years: two I dropped (from less than a foot and once on a carpet) after several months and damaged the battery spring holder; eventually taping them didn't work, one just grew too old after fifty audiobooks (at least 400 hours use), and the fourth one's sound gradually faded away after a year.

This is a very good cassette player - and, these days, the local stores do not cary many, or no, cassette players - so I am comparing it to my old trusty Sony Walkman that died ... The sound is great with and without the Megabass feature. At first I didn't like the caring case but I got used to it and have no problems with it. On the downside the player doesn't have continuous play, or reverse, feature so, if you'd like to hear music on the reverse side, you have to stop, open the carying case, take the player out and reverse the cassette ... a pain. The window that displays control features is very very small so it is difficult to see the commands. The controls themselves are not very intuitive and I needed directions to set up, or change, the pre-sets but when that was done the player was fun to have and use.

The WM-FX290 plays tapes clearly without the warbly speed changes (known as "wow and flutter") that render piano music unbearable. At this price point, competency is the key; anything better is icing on the cake.

These days, people shopping for a cassette Walkman probably listen to audiobooks or have a boxful of old tapes they think they'll get around to playing. Neither customer likely expects Dolby noise reduction or the ability to play CrO2 or metal tapes. Also, in case you were planning to dictate notes to self, note now that this unit does NOT record.

The pleasant surprise is what you DON'T expect to find at this price: Attractive styling, digital tuning with presets, comfortable headphones, exceptional battery life (from one AA battery!), and a "hold" button that prevents unintended station changes when the unit is stuffed in a pocket.

What isn't so hot? Well, weather band has weak reception even in areas with usable signal, the "bass boost" function produces a sonic mudslide that will alarm even "boom car" afficionados, and the nearly opaque clamshell makes you eject to read the tape label or see how much tape remains on a side (yikes).

At this humble price point, the presence of a few nice touches -- and lack of jarring penalties -- spells an easy five stars.
