This thing puts out a ton of light. The 3 brightness settings are very nice, but you do lose the ability to focus the beam, which is a pretty tight throw.

I do a lot of camping in remote national forest campgrounds and this upgrade really makes my 6 D cell Maglite a real wilderness torch. It is so bright-for less than $100 I have a real powerful spotlight. It would probably stun a bear if I came across one. This is the best flashlight I have ever had.
